Looking for (non-crappy) B&W retro spaceman/astronaut clip art. ConDFW's getting a new hotel and I want the banner for the website to be all 1950s SPACE!! retro so I can put a big gold "NEW!" emblem on it and pun off of "NEW!! and IMPROVED! With MORE SPACE!!"

Extra bonus points if one of the astronauts is female. Needless to say, it has to be either copyright-free or very cheap - I can afford to throw maybe $10-20 at it total.

You know how I know that a lot of you don't read my journal every day? Because I periodically get people going "Wow! Movie dinner theatres? I didn't know they existed!" or something like that, and I've been talking about them for a few years now. :)

So here's MUCH BETTER photos than I usually post, as I used Toby's phone instead of mine - his is one of them FANCY model with a flash so the dark theatre is more easily seen. And partly because we wre the only people in there - I'd have been way too chicken to take a flash photo in a theatre if anyone else was there.

I am now—on my fourth attempt—farther than I have ever been in Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. 70% of the way trhough, 30% to go! Considering that I never made it past 40% or so in the three previous attempts, I think that's pretty good! I may defeat this book yet!

Note that I finally gave up and bought the ebook version - I think part of my problem in reading before was that it was so damn inconvenient to try to read that enormous doorstop of a book. I had to prop it on a pillow in my lap.

And on a completely different note, when watching my semi-nocturnal cats sleep during the day, I am occasionally seized with the question: when they try to sleep at night, do they ever have the thought "It's too dark to sleep!"

Dear lord, I'm tired today. Not getting much sleep last night didn't help, nopenopenope. And with the weather being astonishingly hot with an unpleasant dose of humidity to boot - proper actual sunshine, folks! In Ireland! We predict this singular dose of summer should be done before the end of next week.

Been enjoying Diablo III, currently farming acts 3 and 4 on normal before I dip my toe into Nightmare. I let out a very girly screech to see purchasing the next stash tab was 200,000g. Enjoying the game much more than I thought I would, however, helped by the fact the female barbarian has a fantastic design that doesn't involve being a stick figure with noodle arms and legs.

Missing RP, though my time's still limited right now qqqq hence the app writing for apps that won't be sent any time soon. I really can't do the late night scenes as often, if at all, anymore, which is also staying my hand - what's the point in apping if I won't actually be around to play because everything is run a minimum of 5 hours behind me? :/ This responsible-adult lack-of-free-time lark is for the birds, I tell you..

Also need to find my BF character notes and start some second passes. I reallyreallyreallyreally like my villain OC. 8) I can't seem to think of an FC that'd I'd enjoy playing, however, which is a little frustrating, since I do enjoy sparkles and rainbows. Guess we'll see closer to the time...

1. Toby and I are doing the routines in the new New Rules of Lifting for Life, and my upper back is going to feel it tomorrow!

2. There's a site where you can map routes in the Roman world. Nifty!
